Lucy Woollatt has been Executive Director at the Young Vic since 2010.
She has overseen a doubling in the theatre's turnover with the subsequent expansion in organisational resource and complexity.
After leaving St Andrew's University with a Pure Mathematics degree she qualified as an accountant whilst working at the Royal Court, Arts Council and Orange Tree. She then worked at the National Theatre for 12 years, as Production Accountant and then on secondment to the Executive team, English National Opera, as Finance Director, before joining the Young Vic in 2008. She has served on the Boards of the Lyric Hammersmith and Punchdrunk and currently serves on the Board of the Society of London Theatre.
Under Lucy’s tenure the theatre has transferred 4 productions to the West End, 2 to Broadway, won 5 Olivier Awards, 4 Critics' Circle Awards, 4 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, and won The Stage Theatre of the Year 2015.
